A Winter wedding at St George's Hall, Liverpool
Updated: Jan 31, 2022

2020 was a bit of a crazy year for weddings to say the least, with more rearrangements than you could shake a stick (or a wedding bouquet) at. Rebecca and Ian had their share of postponements, but managed to forge ahead and make it down the aisle just before the end of the year, with their beautiful, intimate December wedding at St George's Hall.
I feel so lucky to be a wedding photographer in Liverpool! We have world class venues like this available to get married in, whether you are having a teeny tiny wedding or a grand affair- it's just amazing! I was so excited to capture their special winter wedding here.
The winter sun came out for us, bouncing that golden light all around this beautiful and historic part of Liverpool. All of the smaller weddings I have done in the past year have been BIG on love and joy, and this was definitely true for Rebecca and Ian's wedding day. Their family were so happy and Rebecca and Ian were just radiant. After the ceremony in the fabulous concert hall, the newly married couple had a dance on the stage next to the concert grand piano, and chatted and celebrated with guests in the grand North Hall.
After some excitable confetti throwing and some groups photos outside on the steps, we took a stroll around St John's Garden and the cobbled streets around the hall for a dusky couple shoot. Their evening reception may be on hold until next year, but that beautiful swooshy dress was not going to waste, as Rebecca and Ian had a little dance out on the street, lit by car lights, old fashioned lamposts and the fairy lights on the trees around.
Rebecca said that the day was just wonderful, and Ian said, "Lindy, many thanks for the job you did of our wedding at St George's Hall. The photos are absolutely great!"
